Slavisa Drobnjakovic is a Dutch filmmaker and artist of Serbian

background. He began his acting studies in classical theatre at the age of

fourteen in Yugoslavia. He studied Cultural Anthropology and continued

his education at the Art Academy in Belgrade. After relocating to

Amsterdam, he became involved as a performance artist at Das Arts

Amsterdam and the Amsterdam Cyber Theatre.

Working across film, opera, costume, and spatial design, his practice

integrates writing, directing, and producing. His projects address urgent

social and ecological crises, including femicides, labor exhaustion, rising

authoritarianism, environmental destruction, and displacement. Centering

the human experience amid shifting social and historical forces.
